WildSafeBC to host Q&A sessions with Women Who Wander Collective

WildsafeBC is ready to answer your questions.

The environmental organization is partnering with the Women Who Wander Collective for their WanderWise Virtual Back Country Series.

Kimberley-Cranbrook community coordinator Danica Roussy says she and Elk Valley coordinator Kathy Murray will each be hosting online q&a’s on May 5.

“I will be speaking a Question and answer, more causal type of thing,” Roussy says. “At 7 O’clock, Kathy Murray is going to be doing a presentation on Zoom which focuses more on stories that have happened in the area and what to do if you encounter a bear.”

You can register with the collective to join the Q&A`s and it will coast a pay by donation fee.

“It’s really nice of [the collective] because they are giving all the funds and donations back to WildsafeBC. Which will put money into our community for more bear spray demonstrations, more presentations to children that will include better props and stuff like that,” she says. “It’s quite an amazing opportunity for Wildsafe to partner with them.”
